Is Corel Video Studio Pro X4 Able To Convert MTS Files To MP4?

Question: I have a JVC HD Camcorder that records in the mts format. I'd like to know if using the Corel Video Studio Pro X4 software or another one, I'd be able to edit all my filming to 15 minutes or less to be uploaded to YouTube.

However, before uploading them, I'll need to convert these MTS video files to MP4. Is this something that I can realistically do with only one software program like Corel Video Studio Pro X4.

Which one do you recommend? Thank you for your response.

Answer: Hi Glenn, thanks for the question. Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 is a great software for video editing. However, based on my knowledge, it is not able to convert mts files to MP4 with a frame rate higher than 30 fps.

If you want to keep the high video quality when converting from MTS to MP4, I'd suggest you go for a third-party convertor like Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter. This package unfortunately does not have many editing functions like transitions and text. But it is still a good MTS converter on Windows. You can then edit the output MP4 file in Corel VideoStudio as you wish.

Here's an overview of how you can convert MTS files to MP4 with Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter.

Step 1. Download your MTS video files to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter
Connect your JVC camcorder to your computer via USB cable. Copy and transfer the MTS files from the camcorder to computer hard drive. Run Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter and click the Add button to load the 1080p MTS videos.

Step 2. Choose MP4 format with 1080/50p.
