That being said, in this article, let's take a look at the various models out in the market. We cover the models from Sony, Panasonic and Canon - all three are very good manufacturers of professional digital video cameras.
The first professional video camera we want to look at is the Sony HDR-FX7. This baby is beautiful. It gives you broadcast quality video and you can almost just go auto for any video setting you have. It is one of the better 3 CCD cameras I have owned and it is definitely worth its price.
The is the next professional digital video camera we should look at is the Panasonic Pro AG-DVX100BP. The camera allows a tremendous amount of image control. Things like a manual focus ring, aperture (iris), gain adjustment, shutter speed, zebra control for overexposure, etc are completely available to the user. Great piece of equipment for its price range.
Canon also produces a professional digital video camera called the Canon XH A1. As soon as you open the box you'll fall in love with it. The camera itself is really substantial and has tons of manual controls, so that you don't have to go thru menus to change parameters. The layout of everything is great. The dual on/off and zoom controls are just very convenient as well.
So if you're on the look out for a professional digital video camera, do check out the Sony HDR-FX7, Panasonic Pro AG-DVX100BP and Canon XH A1. These are great pieces of equipment and will go a long way towards shooting
brilliant high-definition video.
